I Lived Through It: My evolving 80s playlist.

So if you know anything about me, my hatred for all things 80s is pretty profound, but I should probably qualify it. I actually spent part of my childhood in the 80s, and I specifically have a hatred of the sort of 80s nostalgia that gets trafficked around. Lots of stuff that either feels like it wasn't made by people who were actually around for it, or it was made by people who weren't poor/brown during that decade.

One day I'll actually make something that speaks to my experience in that time, but for now but for now I had the idea to start working on a music playlist of stuff I actually listened to as a kid. To make it clear, this is stuff I actually listened to as a child. So you're not gonna see a lot of punk or heavy stuff that I'd get into later.
